The Inclusive Ministry list at the NewEarth BBS 21-September-1998 This is a private mailing list for ordained clergy, seminary students and lay leaders, including both those within New Church (Swedenborgian) denominations and those in other denominations who use Swedenborgian ideas in their ministry. This group is intended to be "inclusive," that is, to embrace a broad definition of "ministry." If you think the Lord is calling you to the ministry of the church, that is, to public truth-telling and leadership within a religious community, that aims to bring all people to a good and happy life (cf. NJHD 315), and if you are acting on that calling through some church-related activity or course of study, you belong here. Your own view of the matter is more important than the view of your church denomination. For example, lay leaders like the undersigned operator of this mailing list are included here, and female leaders are included here even if the denominations they belong to don't ordain women. The purpose of the discussion group is to share problems, insight and inspiration about the work we are doing. Its purpose is NOT to dispute each other's qualifications. This group is intended to be confidential, and what is written here should stay here, unless the author has given permission to pass it on. To post a message to all the list members, send email to ministry@lists.newearth.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to ministry
Subscribe to ministry by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you.
